The Federal Government of Somalia is launching an ambitious Drylands Development Project in three regions of the country. Funded by the Islamic Development Bank, the Ministry of Finance led by Dr Abdirahman Beileh has singled out three districts whose farmers will benefit from modern irrigation and pasture rehabilitation programs.
The project consists of new canals, solar pumps and seven greenhouses that will be established in Fafahdhun, Ba’adweyn, and Durdurad, covering the southern, central and northern regions of the country.
The Ministry has put out a tender for bids, with a deadline ending at 11 AM on 25/04/2020.
